Villas and hotels in Toroni

Toroni is a two-kilometre beach of fine sand at the south-west of Sithonia, with a small village along it, the ruins of ancient Toroni on the headland at its end, and Porto Koufo, the deepest natural harbour in Greece, five minutes over the hill. It is quiet, spread out and sunny all afternoon, facing west.

The beach is shallow and organised in stretches, with tavernas and rooms along the road behind it; walk south and it empties. The castle ruins on the headland are a short climb for the view. Porto Koufo has fish tavernas on the water and boats to the sea caves of the cape; Tristinika beach is ten minutes north, Kalamitsi and the east coast twenty over the hill. Neos Marmaras is twenty minutes for restaurants and shops.
