Hotels in Kalamitsi

Kalamitsi is a small bay at the south-east of Sithonia, a village of a few streets around a horseshoe of sand with an islet in the mouth of the bay, a campsite under the trees, a diving centre and a handful of tavernas. It is the quietest of the Sithonia villages that still has a beach worth the name, and it is where people go who came to Sarti once and wanted less.

The beach is sheltered by the bay, sandy and shallow, with a second, smaller beach over the rocks and coves reached by boat or on foot; the diving here is the best in Halkidiki. Porto Koufo and its harbour are ten minutes over the hill, Toroni fifteen, Sarti and its beaches fifteen north. The evenings are the tavernas on the sand.
