Villas in Sani

Sani is the north-west corner of Kassandra: a wetland and pine forest along the coast, a marina with restaurants and shops, and the Sani Resort that gave the area its name. Around and beyond the resort are villas, a long sandy beach, the Sani Festival in the amphitheatre by the sea every summer, and the old village of Sani inland with its church and tavernas.

The beach runs for kilometres, sandy and shallow, organised near the marina and empty further along the wetland; the water is the warm Thermaikos gulf, facing Mount Olympus. The marina is the place for an evening: restaurants, a walk along the boats, the festival in July and August. Afytos and its stone houses are ten minutes, Nea Fokaia five, Nea Moudania’s market fifteen. The Stavronikita beach south of the resort is one of the quietest on the peninsula.
